About the Event

The Annual Brain Health Summit features the most current research and developments on brain health, gathering experts to share their knowledge with the community.  On Friday, March 11, 2022, Memory Matters will host Dr. Rezai from West Virginia University (WVU) as our keynote speaker. He is a renowned neurosurgeon whose pioneering research and clinical practice has advanced brain health for patients around the country and internationally. Dr. Rezai was recruited to WVU to build and lead the new Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI), a world-class patient care and research hub in the heart of Appalachia, to tackle public health challenges.

A specific time and location for the 2022 Brain Health Summit will be determined in the coming months.

Since 2018, Memory Matters has brought this brain health educational conference to Hilton Head Island, SC with annual attendance of 450+.  Local sponsors, exhibitors, grantors, and donors make ticket prices affordable to support this community-wide educational event.

Over the past 4 years, our speakers included Wendy Suzuki, PhD, NYU Neuroscientist; Vik Khurana, MD, PhD, Harvard Stem Cell Institute; Lara Boyd, PT, PhD, University of British Columbia; Chef Kim Baretta, Leiths School of Food and Wine; Paul Nussbaum, PhD, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Brain Health Center, and many local experts. Optimizing Brain Health with YOU in Mind is the foundation of the summit as we lead alongside brain health experts, researchers, and community members eager to learn how to maintain a healthy brain!
