A LIFE OF SERVICE, A JOURNEY OF HOPE

WE WALK THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER
At Memory Matters, many of our donors are also part of our family. You’ve come to our programs, brought loved ones to respite, joined support groups, or taken a memory screening. You know firsthand what it feels like to need a place that understands and how much it matters to have one.
That is why your support is so powerful.
Memory Matters is the local resource for families in Hilton Head, Bluffton, and now Beaufort. We provide comprehensive dementia care, from daily engagement in our respite programs to caregiver education, memory screenings, and brain health classes. Families know that when they walk through our doors, they are not alone.
This year, your generosity and our partnerships made so much possible:
-
Memory Matters reached more than 5,600 local residents through our outreach, education, and support services.
-
Savvy Caregiver® equipped families with skills and peace of mind.
-
Bluffton Jasper Volunteers in Medicine in both Bluffton and Ridgeland welcomed our team to provide free memory screenings at their clinics.
-
Palmetto Breeze Transit provides safe transportation for our participants, with 11 individuals currently relying on their services to attend our respite programs.
-
Faith partners including St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, St. Andrew-By-The-Sea, First Presbyterian, Providence Presbyterian, Campbell AME, St. Luke’s, and others expanded our reach.
-
Neighborhood communities from Sea Pines, Long Cove, Wexford, Tide Pointe, The Cypress, Moss Creek, Berkeley Hall, Sun City, Margaritaville, Callawassie, and many more have partnered with Memory Matters to spread awareness, provide dementia education, and extend support.
TOGETHER, We Are Building a Community of Hope and Resilience
Thanks to strong partnerships and the loyal support of people like you, we are creating a powerful force of compassion, education, and care in the fight against dementia. Memory Matters is a true north, guided by heart and strengthened by science.
The groundbreaking POINTER Study confirmed what we’ve long believed: a structured approach to lifestyle emphasizing physical activity, nutrition, social engagement, and cognitive stimulation can significantly improve brain health and help slow cognitive decline.
That’s exactly what we offer through our Connections classes and our new pilot program, Reconnections. These programs bring the science to life in a supportive, structured environment, empowering participants to build healthier routines, meaningful relationships, and renewed confidence. But the need is growing. More families are reaching out every day and we cannot do this without you.
Memory Matters receives no state or federal funding. Every hot meal served, every respite day offered, every caregiver class taught, and every free memory screening we provide is made possible solely through the generosity of our community.
Your gift is a lifeline.
It empowers families.
It enriches lives.
And it ensures that no one faces dementia alone — right here, at home.

Now, more than ever, we need you by our side. Please consider making your most generous gift today.
