As an organization, Memory Matters’ Fundraising Philosophy guides our efforts to obtain support for our Mission. We demonstrate our passion for Memory Matters through our actions:

South Carolina Angel Charity

It's important to note that, in 2009, Memory Matters was designated as an "Angel Charity" by the state of South Carolina, because over 80% of all funds received are used to provide families with memory loss programs and resources.

​

This level of efficiency was in place before 2009 and continues today.

 

Memory Matters has been named an South Carolina Angel Charity by following these exemplary guidelines:

• Devote 80% or more of its total expenditures to direct charitable programs.

• Been in existence for three or more years.

• Make good use of volunteer services.

• Receive minimal funding from grants.

• Maintain compliance with the South Carolina Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act.
