The Heritage Classic Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting educational and charitable initiatives to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality throughout South Carolina, has announced it will increase matching gifts to 20% for its two charitable giving programs. These programs, utilized by Memory Matters, make it easy to support charities and causes that enhance the quality of life in South Carolina.
Heritage Champions Fore Charity
January 1st, 2026 - December 1st, 2026
The Heritage Champions Fore Charity program is a philanthropic initiative designed to grow the Heritage Classic Foundation’s charitable impact throughout the region. The goal of this exclusive program is to increase year-round support to the nonprofit organizations in our communities.
You can select any participating organization and contribute any amount between $1,000 and $10,000. 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity of your choice. Heritage Classic Foundation will contribute an extra 20% on top of your donation. Heritage Champions Fore Charity has produced more than $24.16 million for participating nonprofit groups since 2013.
All donations received are processed weekly with the 20% match amount added to the donations. No donations will be accepted after the December 1st deadline, and the donor will need to process a donation at the start of the next Champions cycle in January. Match donations are distributed twice a year. All donations received after December 1st will be credited to the following year.
Birdies for Charity
January 1st, 2026 - April 19th, 2026
Select your charity and pledge a specific amount for every birdie made at the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. Your total donation goes directly to your selected cause. Plus, the Heritage Classic Foundation contributes an extra 20% on top of your total! Last year, the pros made 1,161, birdies during our PGA TOUR event and we were able to distribute $361,000 to local nonprofits, pushing the total to $7.59 million since 2000. Minimum and maximum pledges are 1 cent to $1 per birdie or flat donations of $25 to $1,000. When you support Memory Matters through the Birdies for Charity campaign, your donation is matched by the Heritage Classic Foundation—at no extra cost to you.That means more care, more education, and more support for families facing memory loss right here in the Lowcountry.
