About the Event
The Savvy Caregiver is a course taking place once a week for six weeks. It is for family caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's or dementia. It costs $99. This six week course will take place every Thursday beginning January 6 with the last class held on February 10. The class will take place at Memory Matters on Hilton Head Island from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. each week.
The course will provide the following information:
The pathology of dementia diseases
Strategies for caregiver self-care
Dementia stages
Developing contented involvement for someone with dementia
Recognizing options for decision making
Making the most of family resources
