About the Event
The Savvy Caregiver is a course taking place once a week for six weeks. It is for family caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's or dementia. It costs $99. This six week course will take place every Tuesday beginning January 11 with the last class held on February 15. The class will take place at the Okatie Pines Retirement Community in Okatie from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. each week.Â
The course will provide the following information:
The pathology of dementia diseases
Strategies for caregiver self-care
Dementia stages
Developing contented involvement for someone with dementia
Recognizing options for decision making
Making the most of family resources
